Onboarding

Roll out LabServices in a week.

This guide is for regional managers and operations leads setting up LabServices for their team. From account creation to first live project: all in one place.

Onboarding checklist

Day 1 — Organisation setup

  • Create your organisation account (contact us if you don't have one yet)
  • Set your organisation name, region(s), and contact details
  • Add your accredited laboratory partners. The labs your team submits to regularly.
  • Configure notification preferences (email / push / both)

Day 1–2 — User setup

  • Invite your project managers. They receive a welcome email with login instructions.
  • Assign regional manager role to yourself and any area leads
  • Confirm each user has downloaded the mobile app (iOS / Android)

Day 2–3 — First live case

  • Create a test case using a current or recent project
  • Submit one sample with a project manager. Walk through the flow together.
  • Confirm the lab receives the submission (ask your lab contact to verify)
  • Receive a test result and confirm it appears in the case record

Day 3–5 — Team rollout

  • Brief the full project manager team. 30 minutes is enough.
  • Share the Get Started guide with all users
  • Set expectation: all new cases go through LabServices from this date
  • Book a 2-week check-in. Confirm all PMs are submitting and tracking via the app.

What works best

  • Start with one active project, not all of them. Migrate as new cases open.
  • Get your lab contact to confirm they're comfortable with the submission format before go-live.
  • The biggest adoption driver: the first time a PM doesn't have to call the lab to get a status update.
  • Regional managers: check the dashboard daily for the first two weeks. It makes adoption visible.
